About the Firm

Today’s environmental and natural resource agencies face great challenges, including increasingly scarce resources, the need to address many diffuse and difficult-to-control sources of environmental degradation, skepticism about traditional command-and-control regulatory solutions, and a public that expects to be informed of and involved in environmental decision-making. Ross & Associates helps agencies to grasp the opportunities these challenges present: to foster multi-stakeholder and community-based decision-making; to create alternative and market-based management tools; to become more efficient, responsive and results-oriented; and to adopt more integrated watershed and landscape approaches to natural resource management.

Lean and Environment Initiative

The Environmental Professional's Guide to Lean and Six Sigma

Ross & Associates recently developed The Lean and Water Toolkit, which offers practical strategies to reduce water use at industrial facilities while achieving common Lean manufacturing goals related to time, cost, and quality. We facilitated an advisory group of experts to develop the toolkit, including representatives from Coca-Cola, Del Monte, Johnson & Johnson, Levi Strauss, and PepsiCo. This resource seamlessly integrates water efficiency best practices with Lean methods to help facilities achieve their Lean and water efficiency goals.
