Andy Chinn
Associate
Andy Chinn began working at Ross & Associates in early 2007, providing analytical support to projects with diverse objectives and stakeholders. Prior to joining Ross & Associates, Andy worked on policy and development for a national non-profit environmental organization. He has also worked as an ecological and historical guide on the Upper Missouri National Wild and Scenic River in central Montana and taught ESL in Ecuador.
Andy is currently working on a communications project involving the Department of Energy and a working group of the National Governors Association on cleanup of cold-war era federal nuclear facilities. He also provides support to an ongoing working group that provides recommendations on state-EPA work areas such as planning systems and performance measurement. Past projects have included working with the Climate Advisory Team and Climate Action Team, multi-stakeholder efforts aimed at developing climate change mitigation strategies for Washington State.
Andy has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lewis and Clark College and a master’s degree in international policy studies, specializing in environmental policy, from the Monterey Institute for International Studies. In his free time he enjoys playing soccer and backcountry camping.
