Eirin Krane Peterfreund

Eirin Krane Peterfreund joined Ross & Associates in 2007 after completing a master’s degree in natural resource policy from the University of Michigan’s School of Natural Resources and Environment. At Ross & Associates Eirin brings her research, critical analysis, and facilitation skills to a variety of projects, including supporting the Exchange Network Leadership Council, developing materials for and supporting innovations in air permitting and EPA’s Lean Manufacturing and Environment Initiative. She has co-authored the Lean in Government Starter Kit, the Lean in Air Permitting Guide, and assisted in developing the Integrated Permitting International Collaboration Effort Report and the Northwest Ports Clean Air Strategy 2008 Implementation Plan. Eirin’s professional interests focus in the intersection of science, policy, and society in the areas of ecology, information management, and policy innovations. Before joining Ross & Associates she researched and analyzed collaborative planning and land-use management with the Sonoran Institute and Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Eirin has a bachelor’s degree in international political economy and environmental studies and work experience in environmental non-profits and academic research institutes.
In her spare time, Eirin enjoys cooking, hiking, and traveling all over the world, including living abroad in Vienna, Oaxaca, and Brisbane.
