About the Firm
Reducing Our Footprint
In
2006, Ross & Associates made a commitment to analyze the firm’s
environmental footprint and look for ways to reduce it. We are proud
to say that we are now a carbon-neutral business as a result of
that process.

Today's environmental and natural resource agencies face great
challenges, including increasingly scarce resources, the need to
address many diffuse and difficult-to-control sources of environmental
degradation, skepticism about traditional command-and-control regulatory
solutions, and a public that expects to be informed of and involved
in environmental decision-making. Ross & Associates helps agencies
to grasp the opportunities these challenges present: to foster
multi-stakeholder and community-based decision-making; to create
alternative and market-based management tools; to become more efficient,
responsive and results-oriented; and to adopt more integrated watershed
and landscape approaches to natural resource management.
Ross & Associates' staff combine expertise in the analysis
of environmental and organizational issues, strong skills in multi-stakeholder
facilitation, and experience helping agencies innovate and implement
changes. These skills are complemented by senior staff with extensive,
first-hand experience in public sector environmental management
at all levels of government and throughout the country. This enables
us to offer our clients an in-depth understanding of the issues
they face and organizational environment they work within. Our
senior people work directly with clients and accompany them from
initial direction-setting and evaluation of existing programs through
design and implementation of innovations and organizational changes.
Because the firm is small, we can ensure a high standard of quality
for our products, and be extremely responsive to our
clients.
