Environmental Public Health Tracking
For many years, Ross & Associates has supported the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention National Center for Environmental Health in their development of a National Environmental Public Health Tracking Network (Tracking Network). The Tracking Network is a partnership among CDC, state and local health agencies, and universities to support the collection, integration, analysis, interpretation, presentation, and dissemination of data on environmental hazards, exposure, and related health effects.
Arizona Children’s Health Assessment
Ross & Associates provided support to the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to implement a grant they received to share information as part of a system of potential air quality alerts. Ross & Associates assisted ADEQ to develop a project approach and work plan for the creation of a predictive model and alerting system for health conditions identified as a result of the model.
Strategic Support for EPA Office of Environmental Justice
Ross & Associates is supporting the EPA Office of Environmental Justice (OEJ) to better address the concerns of low-income and minority communities. This support include the assessment of screening tools to characterize the above communities, development of guidance for EPA Program managers to consider environmental justice concerns in setting Agency priorities, and development of guidance for Program Offices to craft Environmental Justice Action Plans to focus on issues facing potential environmental justice communities.
Washington Department of Health Community Health Assessment Information System
Ross & Associates develop an online survey that was sent out to all the Local Health Jurisdictions (LHJs) in Washington State. The survey results were analyzed based on the population served by the LHJs and their existing infrastructure and policies to provide a holistic picture of the different public user communities and needs in the state.
