Senior Associate

Jennifer MajorJen Major began her work in public health policy in 2001. She joined Ross & Associates in 2007 to help foster better understanding of the relationships between human health and the environment. Prior to working at Ross & Associates, she spent six years as a health policy analyst with the US Government Accountability Office supporting improved Congressional decision-making around federal programs and policies. Her work spanned a range of issues, including pandemic influenza, chronic disease management, childhood vaccine distribution, and hospitals’ uncompensated care.

Her recent work involves a diverse client base including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, state environmental and health agencies, and non-profit organizations. She has considerable experience with consultation and stakeholder support for development of a national environmental public health surveillance network; environmental justice strategic planning and outreach; program evaluation; access to environmental health information; and environmental indicators.

Jen holds a master’s degree in public health and epidemiology from Yale University and she was an Association of Schools of Public Health fellow in 2000 when she conducted research on infectious diseases at the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. She has years of experience in cancer and tuberculosis pharmaceuticals research as well as veterinary microbiology. Jen loves to travel, take on home improvement projects, run, bike, and watch her Australian Shepherd (Annie) frolic at the dog park.
