Tim Larson
Principal

Tim Larson has more than 15 years of experience working with government agencies, companies, and international organizations to improve environmental management and decision-making. Tim brings to the firm strong experience in business process improvement, strategic planning, policy and program analysis, and group facilitation. Tim's work at Ross & Associates has focused in three main areas: encouraging business sustainability, improving air quality management systems, and supporting collaborative planning processes. Tim is working with federal and state environmental agencies and non-governmental organizations to develop innovative regulatory and voluntary approaches for improving environmental performance in business and industrial sectors, addressing areas such as lean manufacturing, water sustainability, and innovative approaches to air permitting. His work on air quality management systems focuses on policy development, performance measurement, and program evaluation. Tim has also supported collaborative inter-governmental initiatives to address regional and national environmental policy issues, ranging from Great Lakes water quality and invasive species issues to Western States' air quality issues.

Prior to joining Ross & Associates, Tim worked with more than thirty companies in the energy, manufacturing, transportation, and pharmaceutical sectors to develop and implement environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives. Tim has a graduate degree in environmental policy and urban and regional planning from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University. Tim enjoys soccer, sailing, and hiking/camping with his wife and daughters—he is actively searching for the tastiest salmon and garlic shrimp recipes.
