US Mexico Border Diesel Reduction Strategy
Ross & Associates provided support to EPA’s Office of International Affairs, Office of Air, and Region 9 to develop an inventory of diesel emissions, sources, and potential reduction opportunities along the U.S.-Mexico border. Working with EPA Headquarters and EPA Regions, Mexico’s SEMARNAT and other state, federal, and local agencies on both sides of the border, Ross & Associates also supported development of recommendations for diesel emissions reduction strategies and the conceptual design of a particularly promising diesel emissions reduction strategy: anti-idling technology for freight vehicles at international border crossings. All materials for the project were produced in English and Spanish.
